Keeping track of your horse’s hoof care history can be very useful for following problems and figuring out his trends in different seasons or circumstances. Print out as many copies as necessary of this document and make a note every time you have a hoof care event – a farrier appointment, lost shoe, case of thrush, abscess, anything at all. Refer back to your notes occasionally, and you will be much better equipped to answer your vet and farrier’s questions about your horse’s hoof health history!
